It might make a nice curiousity item or a paperweight. I'll bet that not too many folks have one of these. It's also a great "teaching aid" for font characteristics and broach marks. It's pretty hard to drag the whole block into a classroom situation. With this, you've got the "part that matters".
i'll bet a good machinest could install that on a block that it could not be told from orignal. just like installing the block casting #s from one block into the bell housing flange of another block. JMHO on the stamp pad but i have seen the casting numbers that were installed into a different block
...VIN derivitive. Maybe I'm missing something here, but mid '60 on up would need that info. I'd think a weld bead would look pretty ugly between the two. As it stands now, I'd go w/Joe, but lower my bid to $1... for the paper weight approach. DC
