Stainless trim on glove box for 62 vette

Hi all

I'm trying to get all the stainless trim on the glove box thats between the seats. I was able to get the 2 long pieces on.The 2 short top ones and the 2 short bottom ones are what I can't figure out. I screwed in the clips. How do the stainless pieces attach? The bottom ones look like you slide the trim over the clips cause one end is open. Is that the way it goes on? What about the 2 top pieces. Both ends are closed. Whats the trick here? Thanks for any help.

They just snap over the clips. Some of the repro clips are a little too wide and it makes them hard to install, but you can take a pair of pliers and carefully squeeze them to make the trim snap on easier.

Just hook the inside edge over the clip and then press down on the trim until the outside edge snaps in place.
