Another Corvette Item on eBay I don't understand

I understand selling it. I understand why it is valuable to someone. I'm not sure why it would be valuable to more than the seller and the person who owns the car it belongs with, though.

Like, why should I pay $60 for a windows sticker to someone else's car? I can understand that for the original to MY car, but not to one for YOUR car.

Mike - This could be one of those "ours is not to reason why" (I don't think the next line is appropriate in this situation) things. As Bill said, some folks might have "reasons why" and it appears some have stepped forward. Pete

That's one hell of a bargain, whoever ends up with it! I would certainly buy it for that price, maybe knowing down the road that possibly the car and document could one day mate up again.

So few of these cars can be documented with factory paperwork.

Nah: Collectables are collectables, whether it be baseball cards or Corvette artifacts.
I don't know about the price, but someone may be into Corvette Collectables and would want that sticker.

Value is in the eye of the beholder.

One possibility is it could be scanned, modified and aged (ala Tank Stckers) and then the owner could have his own original. Kids do it with drivers licenses all the time. I have this uncanny ability to see evil in almost anything.

If you look at the items recently purchased in the feedback of each of the bidders, you'll get a glimpse at thier interests and this is right in line with what each of them seem to like. As for the price, well, it's their money, not mine.
