Hi again, I am in the process of planning the repairs and rep work to the body. Fortunately the only area that needs any major attention is the inner fender panels that have been notched, spliced and patched together over the years. I have decided to replace the panels but wanted to check the board for any advise and tips before I start. Also, I have heard the Legendary makes match mold panels but waanted to see if any other sources are around. Thanks, Eric #31337

Re: 62 Front inner fender replacement
May I suggest that if you are not going to have the car judged have the 'Z're-enforcement bars used on `58s put on under the fenders directly under where the molding go. They will give you extra support to the fenders when you are working in the engine compartment and stop any flexing.- Top

Re: Corvette Image fenders
Don, It seems that Corvette Image supplies most of these parts. I called them the other day and had a price quote plus shipping. I was wondering if anyone has hands on experience with these parts to report how well they fit and follow factory appearance. I have toyed with the idea of repairing the ones that I have but this would require some creative splicing and I doubt if they will be strong enough withstand cracking during use. Anybody have a set of the originals sitting around? :-), thanks again, Eric- Top

Re: Corvette Image fenders
Eric, I replaced the left side inner fender on my '58 with one I bought from C.C. which I believe are Corvette Image units. Aside from it being a bit too shiny compared to the finish of the originals it fit very well with little or no "massaging". The front lower valance panel, from the center of the headlights down, was also from C.C. and fit perfectly as well. On the other hand I bought the rear lower valance panel from C.C. and it was a NIGHTMARE.- Top
