Hi All
I have a master cylinder I just rebuilt for my 62 vette. The problem i'm having is a tiny leak at the bottom of where the large threaded end that holds the guts in. The large copper washer is smooth when I installed it. It still has a tiny leak. I tried the steel washer that came in the kit. Still has leak. I looked over the entire end and can't see or feel any imperfection. Is there something I could put on the threads that would seal it? Or should I not put anything on the threads? Any suggestions? Anyone know where I can buy a new copper washer? I saw in the corvette central book that they sell one, but it is for 53- 60 only.Wouldn't that also fit 61 - 62 ? I feel the copper would be better cause it's softer and thats what came with the master cylinder when I bought it.
Thanks...........John
