    Rear window chrome-removal of

Does anybody know how to take the outside chrome molding off of the rear back windows? If so what are the steps to do so without botching them up. Have to replace rubber gasket.

You didn't mention what year car.... but, go to NAPA or equal and purchase a tool to remove trim. It should look like a flat sheetmetal piece with a hook on each "wing". The whole thing has a handle on it. Slide this between the rubber and metal trim, sliding the hook along the trim. You'll feel it catch on something...actually a clip. Rotate the handle to engage the hook under the clip and the trim will pop off. If you have an AIM you can determine the location of the clips under the trim.

If this is a C1, remove the inside trim and remove the nuts off the studs that hold the external trim.
