    '67 Upper A-Arm attachment studs??

There is no info in the Judging Guide about the finish of the Upper A-Arm attachment studs. Are they Cad, painted black, natural or black phos? I'm at that point in my resto and I sure could use the right answer.

    Thanks!
    Tony

    Tony----

They were black phosphate or black oxide.

I believe by '67 the bolts were the black coarse thread version that used the cad plated self-locking nuts. These may still be available from GM if not reproduction sources. The '63-mid'66 versions with the long fine-thread nuts and compatible bolts are a little more difficult.

The original nuts on my car are the Cad clear self-locking nuts with the raised bumps along the chamfered portion of the nut.
