I have a 1979 with the original GoodYear GT Radial's (255/60R15) still on. I need to get new tires but want to keep the car looking as original as possible. I have not found anything that looks like the originals with the outlined white letters. Any ideas? Is there any talk about repoducing the GT Radials?

Re: C3 1979 tires
I hope you are not driving it anywhere. 26 year old tires are as hard as a rock and ready to blow up without warning.
There has been questions on here before about the GT and no one has said they will be. The best best is to remove these now, preserve them and bag them, and store in cool, dark storage until you want them for a show. Then go to the show, put them on, and get the points for being original.- Top

Well, save those old originals. For the judging points, they are a plus.
As to outlined white letters, I haven't seen any in awhile. You might run through Tire Rack's website and do the usualy searches on the Internet.
Most that I find seem to be with all terrain tires with the OWL.
Here is a passenger tire with 60 series:

T.
Goodyear still makes the raised letter Eagle GT's but now there GT II's. I put a set of 255/60R15's on my '78 last year. Except for the II (I was thinking of grinding the II's off) they are as close to the originals you can get. If you want to see how they look let me know and I'll email you a picture - I don't know how to post pics here :/
