    Catalog

I was reading my Paragon catalog for 68-82 corvettes. in the exhaust system parts, an on the tech tip #32 it says only the 1963-67 exhaust pipes were originally welded to the mufflers. is this true? were the 70-72 mufflers clamped an not welded to the pipes?

Look at your AIM, is there an instruction to add a clamp at the front of the muffler? I believe they were welded as one piece, at least that is the way it looks in the '72 AIM (only coke bottle aim I own)

      Re: Catalog

why would Paragon have that in the catalog if it were not true.

Just a guess, but maybe Paragon is referring to the "service" mufflers and pipes rather than OEM factory installed. I think there's sometimes a difference between service parts and factory installed configuration...
