    1961 #00007

Does anyone have the Jewel Blue 61 2x4 Powerglide car, #00007? I may have a few pic's of your unrestored car from the mid 70's with the orig Calif plate.

Maybe "Bob McDorman" of McDorman Chevrolet in Columbus, Ohio has it? He has a small collection(of his larger collection)of Corvettes that he calls his "James Bond 007 Collection".

He has lots of used cars in his collection. Check out Mecum Auction.com as he is selling about 100 and the sale may be over but the results will be their.

            Mike,

-------Do I remember that car being sold to a lawyer friend of Richards from Glen Ellyn? I know the car was a jewel blue single didget serial no. 245/powerglide car. Got to be the same one.I was even at the guys house once or twice. I just cant remember the lawyers name. I do know that the guy drove the heck out of it and took absolutely horrible care of it as well. The car went badly down hill. Stretch would remember his name, and then maybe we could figure out where the car went from there.........Bill S

              Hi Bill,

I seem to remember first seeing that 007 car at the Villa Park shop in about 76 or 77 but that could be wrong. I'll try to find the pic again because it was taken inside of the bldg and that would probably tell the location. That really was a nice all original car as I remember. Hope it's not the same one that was neglected and trashed that you mentioned.
