1971 LT1 convertable

I am looking for information about matching paint code #'s. the origional paint code for the my 1971 LT1 is paint code is 979 (bridgehampton blue) and I am getting ready to paint car and would like NCRS spec for paint match. I live on Long Island, NY and would appreciate any insight that I can get on this matter.

In addition, I am inquiring about rear deck lid on this convertable. On the underside, would like to know if hardware, latches and handle get spayed a color or do they stay natural finish???

The handle is painted but some of the latches are not. You need a good picture or look at an original. The local NCRS chapter would be a good place to check out paint and the deck lid. Lyle

try http://autocolorlibrary.com
they have all the proper paint codes and can sell you the paint all properly mixed for you. I'm assuming you are going with lacquer? They can mix the proper color in any type paint you choose though.
