I looked at a very original 60 last night. Removed the seat back cushions and on the bottom rear there was a 1" high ink marking the letter A with in a sharp pen X43. On the pass. seat it was simply the letter B. Has anyone seen this on there original seats. These markings were on the cloth just before it met the vinyl of the seat skins. Thanks for the help.

Was there a 'part number tag' attached to the spring set? I did not see any markings as you describe, but did find a paper tag with part numbers on it. -

Yes, in the springs there was a black or charcoal color tag. But one could still change out the skins and not disturb this tag. Do you have original seats in your car? Over the years the current owner says he has had 2 different (experts) look at his car and got two different opinions on the interior originality. If I get this car, I will have to get it judged for my own satisfaction. ThanksComment
