C3 Windshield wiper setup (one more time)

****a! We managed to get the wiper motor working today. The only problem we still experiencing is the wiper door is not opening yet. The override switch under the dash is not working either. Does anyone has a nice schematic showing the air tube setup including the colors of the marking on the tubes. Especially the order on the wiper valve is a big unknown for us!

Thanks all for helping us out, if we fix this problem and get the rear spring re-arched I can get my car tested to get my needed title and license plates...

    greetings,
    Rob (and Sander).

Just some extra information (and I borrowed a picture which was posted below). On the wiper motor the right two air hose connections (which are not attached on the picture below) are hooked onto each other with a 6 inch piece of hose. Is this correct since I suspect this as not so... If not where should they hook into?

      thanks again,
      Rob.

          Symmantics issue...

There are NO vacuum hoses on the wiper motor, Rob. It's an electro-mechanical item with electrical input and mechanical output. Attached to the '69 wiper motor are the bolt-on washer components. The RH side consists of an input nipple hose connected to the washer reservoir to pickup washer fluid and two output nipples for the washer squirters.

The LH side has the '69-only headlight auxiliary washer solenoid bolted to it. It 'robs' (no pun intended) washer fluid output from the RH side and pumps it forward to the headlight squirters when electrically actuated by pushing and HOLDING the washer switch down on the cockpit control.

Methinks it's time to go build a proper support library for your new 'baby'.... Consider buying the: (1) '69 JG, (2) '68-72 PV manual, (3) '69 Chevy Chassis Service Manual, and (4) '69 AIM book for a good start. The unique '69 HL washer system is a TOUGH animal to restore/maintain since service replacement parts (ESPECIALLY the LH side HL washer pump/solenoid) have LONG been discontinued! You may well eventually find this part failed years ago and prior owners simply re-rounted washer hoses to defeat it....

If so, through NOTHING away! It's often possible to disassemble a HL washer pump, repair broken/cracked plastic and get it working again....
