67 - 9 Leaf Spring

I am about to replace my incorrect 7 leaf spring with a 9 leaf on my 67 327/300. Can anyone send me some closeup photos to make sure I paint it correctly. Thanks

George - I don't have any pictures, but I did mine recently using the kit from Quanta Restoration. It included paint, the correct liners, and the bolt tieing the assembly together. Try their web site

I have an Eaton-Detroit repro spring, detailed with the Quanta kit - photo below (incorrect retaining plate bolts replaced after photo was taken).

John - how did you protect/treat your differential carrier? It looks great....did you use satin Krylon or prelube6 ?.....Craig

This is a correct spring (incorrectly installed on my 63 but since replaced with an original 63 spring).

It's light-colored cast-blast; I'd rather have it stay rust-free without "treating" it every few months - I drive it
