    C1 58 Horn Wiring

I can't seem to figure out how to wire up the horn button. I was told to solder the pig-tail wire to the slip ring in the steering column. There does not seem to be a hole through the center to route the wire and if it is routed on the outside, it looks like it can only be soldered to the top slip area which doesn't seem right. I could sure use some help. Thanks.

There should be a small slotted hole in the steering culumn half way under the dash. This is the exit point for the horn wire. From there it routed outside the steering column, as part of the main harness, through a grommet in the firewall towards the horn relay.

Thanks Rob. I've got it routed that way and the horn works when I ground the pig-tail wire. My question is how and where it attaches to the slip ring.

The wire is normally soldered to the bottom of the upper shaft bearing.

Thanks, I finally got it sorted out. I didn't realize I had to remove the slip ring - bearing first. Once removed it was easy.
