Hi All,
I have an electrical problem that has me baffled.
My temp gauge will peg hot when the engine is at normal operating temp and the ignition switch is off and any electrical switch is operated ( brake lights, headlights, cig lighter, but not radio)
When the ignition switch is on and engine at normal temp, and any switch is operated the temp gauge will jump slightly higher. When the engine is cold, there is no movement in the gauge when any switch is operated.
I have checked the ground to the gauge and panel and it appears grounded well.
I put a voltmeter to the gauge and show a 1 volt spike when the above switches are operated, but cannot trace it.
Has anyone run into this?
Any thoughts on condition?
Thanks,
Bryan
