    cigarette lighter

I want to reattach my 67 cigarette lighter. According to the JG manuel only one wire goes on back of housing under dash cluster. I feel I can use a idle hot wire to it. (its fused). My ? is "how does wire attach to rear of lighter housing? there is an end of screw on rear of housing. Thanks for any info. Don

    Re: cigarette lighter

There should be a male spade terminal on the lighter housing.

      Re: cigarette lighter

Cig lighters originally came with a brass 'nipple' adaptor that screwed onto the threaded end of the socket stud and mated with a 'barrel' connector on the wiring harness. Generic replacement lighter sockets don't include the brass 'nipple' adaptor, so folks usually install an L-terminal with a threaded hole to screw onto the stud and mate with spade lug connector that slides over the L-terminal....
