Hello Tom,
Yes the Corvette is found. It is a convertible not a coupe. It is 1 of 3 that has the original factory engine.
You can see the car at www.corvetterepair.com click on the left side of the web site. Special cars, look down the list to 67 Lynndale L-88 click on to open.
Regards,
Drew Papsun
Thanks Drew. I was sure it was a coupe but that has been a lot of years ago. I had a friend with a Lyndale Blue coupe L79 in 1971 so I may have gotten confused over the years. It's great to see that it is still around and even better, still has the original engine. The story at the dealer at that time was that a young man ordered it when his dad told him he could get anything he wanted. As the story goes, his dad was not impressed with the noise, and especially the lack of a heater and other basics when the kid took it home. He had to take it straight back to the dealer and ended up with a SS396 Chevelle.
It was out of my price range too. I would have loved to have it and have thought about it many times over the years. I ended up with a new 442.
