Re: MIDYEAR HARDTOP PRICES
Like anything that is a Corvette part, it's what the seller wants and what you will pay. I think you can buy tops from $750-$2000. The value guides say that a Corvette Conv. With Hardtop is worth $1500 more. (doesn't mention condition) Bob- Top

Re: MIDYEAR HARDTOP PRICES
I purchased a hardtop for my 66 convertable at Carlisle this past summer for $350. That's the good part. I got about $1,000 into it with new parts ranging from a new headliner to paint. I changed the glass too after seeing how good the top cam out. I purchased aftermarked glass for $175.00 But it didn't fit well and finally went for $275. to get date stamped glass from glassworks in PA. The also sell fully restored tops for about 2K. So I feel I'm ok. The top came out great. I did it myself (except fo the paint) and I a little ahead of the game. There were hundreds of the tops in varying condition at Carlisle.- Top

Re: MIDYEAR HARDTOP PRICES
Mr. Sullivan
When looking for a top assuming you are going to top flight it, what are the things to look at to save you on rebuild costs? What were the surprises you came on? I am trying to buy a notched two bracket 64. I assume plexi-glass replacement is a must, how about headliner, Chrome trim ect, what are the most expensive and hard parts to find or replace? Given your experience I should be able to narrow my search.Dino Lanno- Top
