There are many restorations houses out there that do this type of work. Does anyone in the membership have experience with more than one of the companies in which they can say based on using company A or B or C... company A was the highest quality restoration?

Re: Guage Cluster & Clock Restorations - Mid Years
Personally, I like Clocks By Roger (does MORE than just clocks). You have to watch some of the smaller houses, I've heard more than one isolated story of this/that firm going 'belly up' with customer's consigned work sold off to pay creditors....- Top

Re: Guage Cluster & Clock Restorations - Mid Years
I am quite happy with the work Corvette Specialties of Maryland did on my '65. The quality was good as was the turn around. They have been around for awhile.
Their toll free number is 800.638.6450.Regards,

Re: Guage Cluster & Clock Restorations - Mid Years
I'm sure Roger is real good, But as far as I'm concerned he has a little attitude problem. I asked him a simple question about wheather he paints the silver or the black first on gauge cluster housings. You would have thought I'd asked what his girlfriends' bra size was! He said he "couldn't tell me because it was a trade secret". Geeze Louise! I don't have time for people like that. I told him" Thanks Alot for the help!!! Recently I have heard that his brother, who USED to work for him quit and has started his own gauge restoration business. I wish I knew where he is. If anyone knows, please post his number. Thanks, Bob- Top

Re: Guage Cluster & Clock Restorations - Mid Years
We sent Roger a rough 63 cluster that had been sitting for years to be rebuilt and a good 67 cluster for sale one year later after a few calls both were sent back dissembled and missing many parts with a note saying the 63 cluster was not worth repairing. after a call he did replace the missing parts and assemble them. We also had him rebuild out 63 radio it came back with the case spray painted silver over dirt and the lables it was also sent back a second time,it came back better.these parts were not in good shape when sent.I dont think that is an excuse for painting over dirt and decals.in the past he has done some very good work for us,but i think there is a quality control problem now.- Top
