    Hi Tech Innovations

    Hi Everyone:

In response to a prior post I sent someone the toll free phone number of Hi Tech Innovations, probably the finest distributor shop in the nation, that number had been disconnected. Further inquiry found their local number had also been disconnected. Obviously the are no longer in business as there is no forwarding number. Sorry to report this rather sad news. If anyone has any information regarding the owner please let us know.

Thanks for posting the information. That is VERY sad news, indeed. Hi-Tech Innovations and its owner, Jim Dwyer, were just about the best in the business of distributors. As far as I know, they were the ONLY distributor rebuilder that had the capability of installing new distributor bushings AND jig-boring them to perfect alignment. Also, they were experienced at transferring the "auto cam" from atop the mainshaft to a new mainshaft. This allowed folks to keep their original centrifugal advance characteristics since there are a large number of different "auto cams", whereas current replacement shafts are equipped with a "universal" auto cam.

As far as I know, they were the source of the needle bearing type distributor cross-gears and adapter assemblies which most of the Corvette vendors sell. So, I wonder what the future of those parts are?

      Re: Hi Tech Innovations...ALIVE

      HI All:

It pleases me to no end to report that I have found the source of the problem here and, while living in the area, but in a different area code, I should have suspected an area code change, but didn't. Hi Tech Innovations : 1-727-942-4003, they are in business and thriving. Hope this caused no confusion.

Fabulous! Absolutely fabulous! In fact, I have a couple of distributors I've been wanting to send off to them for quite a while. Given this "scare" and reality check, I think I'll box them up and get them off right away.
