    C-1 nonvented caps

I recently posted info regarding a nonvented gas cap (CST-6810) that appears very similar to the CC repro. Since that post I have recieved several emails regarding cross references. Guess the part number was only good for A&A auto stores and difficult to cross reference. A&A auto is only found in Pa. There 24 stores throught the state. The A&A stands for Amotto and Amotto, the drag racing family. In speaking with the manager, Bart, he has informed me that he is willing to send caps out by mail. The number is (570)-387-1732. Ask for Bart and order part CST-6810. Cost is $5.23 with $3.50 shipping. They have 35 in stock with 48 advailable. For those that want to search locally, he has provided me with the cross references. These are NOT locking caps!

Hope that this info can help answer several of the emails I have recieved. Best regards, Jon

Jon, would this cap score any points on a 62?

          testimonial

following Jon's advice I located the 6810 gas cap he mentions. After plunking down my 5 bucks, I went home and last night installed the cap and headed to my local fillin station. A full tank of gas later and holy cow no more gas stink! I can't believe it, just that fast it's gone! Even my wife enjoyed the ride last night. After three years of gas stink in this frame off restoration, Who would have thought it could be eliminated with just the installation of a new gas cap!
