    427 engine block casting

Working on a 69 L89 435hp car. Build date Nov 25, 1968. What is the correct 427 enging block casting for this car? Could there be more than one casting number used for this engine? Does it have to be a 4 bolt main? Any advise, comments greatly appreciated.

About one month two early to have a "512" block. I think that a "3935439" or a "3955270" block would work nicely

      Lynn-----

Also, all original blocks of the casting numbers that Dick mentioned that were used for L-89 applications were fitted with 4 bolt main caps. However, not all of the blocks of those casting numbers in existence are so-fitted. These block castings were built up into BOTH 2 and 4 bolt finished block assemblies. So, both types are "out there" today. Functionally, a 2 bolt block assembly can be converted to a 4 bolt assembly quite easily, though.
