'65 AIM shows 3 black plastic push-in straps along the upper RH inner fender skirt. These hold the balance hose from expansion tank to radiator (the hose alone if air conditioned-C60); (2) if L78, the hose and the TI harness to amplifier; and (3) if non-C60 small blocks, the 3 straps hold the hose, the engine harness to horn relay (plus the TI harness, if L76, L79, L84 are so-optioned).
My question is, with air-conditioned cars, how do you route the balance hose outboard of the hood support, around the receiver/dehydrator and still get the most-forward strap in the hole by the rear bolt of the hood hinge ? The AIM implies (by drawing only - no note) on sheet UPC C60 D-6 that the hose does NOT use the forward strap, and passes over the receiver/dehydrator. Various photos I've seen seem to confirm this arrangement. The '65 TIM & JG makes no mention of 2 straps only being used on air cars.
Other AIM sheets showing hose and harness routings are: UPC 11-13 A-4, and UPC 12, A-9.
What are DB participants' thoughts on this ?
