Illinois Chapter schedules

How do I find out when and where Illinois (or close prox) chapters will be having a meet, and I would like to have my car judged on that level, as I don't want to drive it 7 hours to Bowling Green. Are the same flight levels available on a state (or regional) level as they are on National. If someone is from Illinois, please contact me or forwward me some info, please. Thanks.....Dave

A 7 hour drive is one of the shortest drives you will find this year! You would also recieve 3-4 Bonus points for the drive. The same awards are available at the chapter level as the national level. The difference is the level of judges; Generally all the highest point judges attend the nationals to judge the classes. At the chapter level USUALLY there aren't as many high level judges. You can find chapter officers with phone # under members on the NCRS home page. Maybe you can have your car judged locally first, and them bring it down to Bowling Green..

We are having a Technical Seminar here in Holland, MI on March 19, and our Chapter Meet will be Saturday, June 17th.

If it fits in your schedule, and you have the car judged as required before Bowling Green, I'd still consider it. You'll get the best judges, as Bob mentioned.

Indiana Chapter Indianapolis Motor Speedway Meet.

The Indiana Chapter has a meet June 16-18, at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Not only can you have your car judged at one to the finest chapter meets in the country, you can drive your Corvette around the 2 1/2 mile oval at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Dave: The Illinois chapter has a Chapter Meet at Starved Rock 7/14/00 to 7/16/00. They have a tech session in April and a Judging school in May. You can contact the Judging Chairman, Mike Wagner @ 630/665-5975
