And Here's Another One....
From the SACC 50th Corvette Birthday party in Flint two years ago; this one is owned by Ford & Earl Associates, the current name of the design firm originally started by Harley Earl when he retired:

Re: And Here's Another One....
The car you are viewing was made by Eska in 1957 out of Iowa. It came in two different drive trains. the body was a very cheap plastic of some sort. Another car was made in 59/60 by Yardbird which has a lausen gas motor These were given away as a second prize by General Mills and GM. The corvette was actually second prize, which 180 of them were given away. the first prize was a corvair......go figure. Hertz supposedly did a 1961 but no one has ever verified the car. One story has surfaced that a fellow in northern california has one in storage. In 1963 Barry Toycraft co. did a 63 corvette which is very common. Supposedly Barry bought out Yardbird and used the chassis from them with several changes because the 63 has a electric motor with battery. I have vintage literature on all these cars. I own one of the 60's yardbird. I have photos but don't have the know how to post pictures on here.- Top
