    67 Corvette 327 engine

The block number on this engine is 3892657,
It has solid lifters, a 4-barrel holly carb, domed pistons.
Does anyone know what horsepower the engine is?
Also what is the gap for adjusting the valves on this engine?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

David - the block is a correct 67 number, and from what you describe it sounds like it should be a 327/350 HP engine. It should have an aluminum intake manifold ending in 490 on the casting, but it should not have solid lifters....they were not used in 67. If you give the suffix code on the block stamping we can help you more....Craig

Look at the push rod seat on the lifters. Hydraulics have snap rings to hold the seats. Solids don't. At least the ones I'm familiar with.

If it's a Chevy solid lifter cam you might be able to pull a casting #, paint swab color or casting date off the cam and get an idea of what it is.
