Whats the trick to removing the tach and the speedometer needles and also the reinstallation.'without damaging either . Thanks for your help.

Grip the needle firmly around the round base and turn it counterclockwise past the zero mark while pulling out gently. The shaft locks at the zero mark allowing you to turn the needle on the shaft. Be very careful not to bend the needle or touch the face of the instrument when you do this.
