my 4 speed 69 vette was manuctured december 17 1968
427 tri-power L-68 400HP

witch engine block casting number would be right ?
3935439
3955270
3963512

and should it be a 2 bolt main or 4 bolt main ?

Frank, it should be two bolt main block. The build date of your car is right at the beginning of the use of the 512 block, maybe a week or so early, but I think that any of the three blocks would work

it could come with a 2 bolt are 4 bolt main. what ever they had at the time they would use.

While I suppose that anything is possible, I have never seen a real low horsepower 427 4-bolt block. I have seen a couple of restoration engines done with 4-bolts though. I have only been looking at them since 1969.
