    Hood locks and Latches

    Were the hood locks and latches and hinges installed on the car and painted black on 1962 Corvettes. I just looked at a 62 that is a Bloomington Gold winner, and they are on that car.

      I believe these are black phosphate coated not painted. This is the case on the C3 at least.

          The hinges and body-side latches were in place when the engine compartment was blacked out; not sure about the pins on the hood, but one of the '62 guys will know.
