I've just gone through the Archive pages and read a whole stack of posts regarding frame VINs (we're talking mid-years, here). Most refer to the driver's side rear wheel kickup. This afternoon I found a frame VIN stamped into the passenger side of frame visible in the wheel well behind the front wheel. Is this also a typical location?
Bill,Never saw one there. Frame's I've seen are stamped just forward of the #4 body mount(driver side, rear kick-up) and forward of that on drivers side by the #3 body mount. The 1st one mentioned is where the police look when they are varifying vin numbers on stolen cars. The space between the frame and body is small there. You really need a small mirror inserted into the space to see it.
