'69 build dates

Would like to know the approx build dates for ordering the correct parts that applies to a Early E69, mid M69 and late L69 ?

Early and late are 'relative' terms regarding running changes made throughout a given model year. For the term to have specific meaning, you have to nail down just what part you're talking about and understand when that specfic engineering change came about. Typically, the NCRS Judging Guide covering a specific model year gives guidance on the subject of early vs. late on a component by component basis.

In one case, 'early' might mean the first month or two of production. But, for another part, the change might have been made in the last month of production such that 'early' means the first eleven months of vehicle build... Bottom line, the definition you're looking for (Is my car early or late) doesn't exist. You have to go part by part specifically to understand and gain definition.

Thanks Jack...

Pulled my '69(built in Feb) steering box which had an aluminum top plate was advised that E69 had a cast iron top plate. Knowing my car came with the 68-can style wiper door actuator, started me to wonder if the steering box was original in the car?

My late Oct 1968 has aluminum top plate as does my late Feb 1969.
