The JG says to use zinc/aluminum wedges for my 65 convert. All the old ones I removed were a gray plastic. Probably not original. Were they all an aluminum type of metal. The kit I got from Paragon repo. is 2 black plastic wedges and what appears to be 2 potmetal/zinc wedges. Thanks!

Re: Door and Decklid wedges.
Thanks Wayne. I wasn't very clear on my question. The wedges are also tapered length wise. So, measuring across the face of the wedge and going from front to back, does the wider end go to the front or back? I am thinking that the wide part might go to the rear because as you close the deck the contact of the wedges parts would start sooner. Thanks again.

Re: Door and Decklid wedges.
The metal wedges go on the door with the "fat" side outboard, and the plastic wedges go on the body with the "fat" side inboard. The metal wedges go on the deck lid with the "fat" side up, and the plastic wedges go on the body with the "fat" side down. The angled surfaces of each pair are parallel with the door/deck lid closed.- Top
