Know this has probably been gone over many times here. Have gotten some good info, just need help putting it together. Have 71 LS-5 Coupe. No build sheet.Has 26 1/2 radiator,15/16 front sway bar, 9 leaf rear spring, no rear sway bar but evidence that one was once there. But has rear u-bolts not caps on the u-joints. Also has 5600 rpm tach. Looks original. Has non-original block. Do these things point to a original BB?

Re: 71 LS-5 originality
I thought the radiator of the big blocks was 27+ inches and the small block base engines like my 70 with air conditioning got a 26 inch radiator. My original owner small block with turbo 400 came from the factory with caps on the shafts.- Top

Re: 71 LS-5 originality
The firewall tag is missing. Console says 365 hp 454. Know they are easily changed. As for the swaybar, there are areas on the frame where you can tell where the bushings were mounted. Frame must have been painted at some time, can see the outline of the bushings. Hood had been changed to a L88 style.- Top
