    '57 cast iron thermostat housing

Can anyone tell me if the cast iron thermostat housing, for a 1957 single four barrel carburetor corvette, has any numbers stamped on it.

I purchased one, deemed to be an original, and it ONLY has a "nipple" on top. No casting numbers or any type of marking.

    Thanks in advance,
    Mike

Mike, do you have a judging manual for '56 and '57? It should have it in there. If not, I will check mine and get back to you.
