1975 L-82 rods

Hi,
I'm looking for any documentation listing the engine parts in the L-82. In this case 1975. I believe the rods used were the famous pink rods,
current part # 10108688.
Does anyone know if this is correct and what reference books list it?

Gary - it was the case for 74 so I am guessing for 75 it's the same. I can't remember any more where I originally saw this.....it may be covered in one of Alan Colvin's Chevy by the numbers or Corvette by the numbers books....Craig

Thanks Craig I have a few of the older books so I'll take a look through and see. I'm sure the '75 L-82 had the pinkies too.

ALL L-82's from 1973 through the last year of production, 1980, used the so-called "pink" rods. The part number was GM #3973386. Later, for SERVICE, these became GM #14095071 and, later yet, GM #14096846.

All of these have been discontinued and replaced by the GM #10108688. This is a forged, powder-metal rod that is significantly superior to ANY of the "pink" rods.
