1967 passenger seat release latch inside mount ?

I just purchased a 67 BB vert', and spent yesterday going through it with the 67 judging guide. Mostly correct. However the passenger seat release latch is mounted on the left side(next to driver seat) of the passenger seat. Is this correct ?

Ron, Being identical, the seats can be interchanged to equalize wear on the covers if so desired.
