    C2 removing dash pads

I just got my radio delete dash and was going to replace it. I know I have to drill out the pop rivets, remove glove box, instrument cluster and maybe steering column. But I have these strange shaped clips that appear to be holding the dash pad to the dash. They are a little corroded. So, I did not want to start twisting on them with pliers. Do they screw in? Push in? How do I get them out without damaging anything. Thank you Bill #44207

    Bill,

-------I have found it best to hold the clip lenghthwise with a pair of pliers and then sticking a small, narrow screwdriver in the slot and twisting to spread the slot. This closes the other side that yo cant see and allows you to pull the clip out. Once you have done it one time you will know what I mean. you will, more than likely, break or severly weaken a couple of clips as they are only soft aluminum, so put together an order of what you need with Long Island and include new clips. Makes life easier. Hope this helps..............Bill S
