I'm trying to find a cross reference for the 1973577/ Delco D-1356 vacuum advance control. It's apparently no longer available from GM or Delco. I've checked for an equivalent replacement part in the Standard and Borg-Warner line, but came up blank. If someone has access to some cross reference data can you give it a shot. The basic specs of the unit in crankshaft degrees are as follows: 0 deg @ 4", 10 deg @ 8". This vacuum can was used on the '76-77 L-82s, and all '76-'77 California spec L-48s and several other California spec small blocks including all '77 California passenger car 350s.
I'm not so sure that this part is GM-discontinued. Have you had a GM dealer check recently? If they are discontinued, there are a lot of them out there. Your GM and/or Delco dealer should be able to locate and obtain one for you rather easily.
