    I used a rubber cork where the cap would attach and watched the dents closely, I would think the cap would work as well, just take your time and you should be sucessfull

      Peter,

      Curious as to what kind of torch you used and how hot did you get the tank. Did you apply the air pressure first and then the heated the tank under pressure ?

        Wayne,

        Used a cutting torch (oxygen and Acetelyne), got the dent to cherry and then I pressurized, it took a little more heat when pressurized to pop the dent. I probably could have pressurized and then heated, I am sure the tank would have been easier to work with.
