Re: 62 aluminum powerglide
Actually Ray, not all passenger cars had provisions for cooling. I once owned a 1964 Chevelle, straight six with PowerGlide with no external cooling lines nor the radiator tank cooler. It did have an air scoop on the passenger (IIRC) side of the bell housing which directed air into the torque converter area. Kind of a different road draft arrangement. The car just begged for another drivetrain, but it did exceed 300K miles before body rust claimed it.Terry- Top

Re: 62 aluminum powerglide
Remember Corvettes at one time in history were just used CARS , this was when people were only interested in C1's not newer C2's and NCRS dint include them back then, so I used it as a tow car for selling those nasty C1 parts.
