The headlights on my 82 vette did not open last. night. The battery was down and I had to jump it. Would a low battery affect the headlight mechanism once the car was running.. I think not but need to know in order to trace problem.
Thanks in advance.
the battery would not affect the operation of the headlights at all (assuming that you get the car started somehow) the system runs entirely off of vacuum.
i have two C3 cars, and have messed with the headlight system quite a bit. if neither headlight comes up, it is probably a vacuum line off,or split or perhaps the headlight switch itself, as a bad actuator or relay would only affect one headlight. but, once the car is running, the battery or electrical system has nothing to do with the headlight system. i hope this helps a bit....rick
