I have a question for the board concerning the markings found on original 61-62 antennas. The judging manual states that the antenna is marked with the part number and the word "WARD" on one side of the body and a bowtie on the opposite side. My problem is that I've seen more than a few original antennas that DO NOT have the bow tie on the body , the WARD name appears with the number but the opposite side is blank. So it appears that there were at least 2 variations and I thought it would be helpful to get information from a larger base of original cars. Of the three cars that were recently sampled 2 were in the owners hands for at least 30 years and are unmolested and the third was a BOWTIE car. Any input greatly appreciated. Rich #2276

Re: 61-62 Antenna Markings
Thanks Vinnie, One of the cars in my sample was the 11,000 mile 61 F.I. owned by Don Feltz and one was owned by another good friend who has had it over 30 years so I was pretty sure that both were correct. I look forward to the updated judging manual. Rich- Top
