    Long Island Corvette ????

I ordered set of coupe 1/4 panels + other parts. 1 Part was incorrect, No wing.
Tech helper said it WAS wrong & to send back & he will send another set. I asked if he could send me just correct side & I will return his. He started to shout profanitys over the phone. Then slammed the phone down before I could tell him where he could put this wingless panel. I ordered another set from C/C. Has anyone else had this type of experience with them? Needs some people communication. Don

I have purchased many parts over the years for my 63 and 67, and have had nothing but great service and same day shipments from Long Island Corvettes.

All of my experiences with Long Island have been very professional and have been very satisfactory.

I always call them first for all of my parts for my C2.

My opinion they are the best.

        Regards,

        Bill

been dealing with Richard and his daughter for better than 30 years. sometimes she's on the gauze, but overall they've been an excellent source of midyear parts. Richard is super knowledgable. mike

-------Richs Corvette knowledge is second to none and I go nowhere else for my midyear parts. All businesses have an occasional burp. This is not said to minimize your event. This report is very distressing and it might be proper at this juncture to ask if you have done any follow-up since the "incident". IE; have you called and asked to speak to someone higher up the food chain??? Although we all have read your post it might be more prudent to head at this in a different manner rather than (seemingly to us) instantly going on an international forum and voicing your issue. If true, is it possible that there is a singular problem (that one ordertaker) rather than a business wide (complete Long Island Corvette) problem??? When rectified will you post a similar statement???..........Bill S

Art, I will keep my comments to myself. I'm sure that most VH's know my feelings.

Been using them for years and never had a problem. However.... I think there is a cultural factor here, and I'm talking about New Yorkers in general.

We have to remember that time is money to vendors like LICS and the Doc. They are not in business to provide free research information.

If you have your order arranged and ready to go --I've always found them to be businesslike. But I've often detected a little undercurrent of impatience..

For you Seinfeld fans -- it can be like ordering from the "soup ****".
Sounds like you were given the "NO PARTS FOR YOU!" treatment.

Mike, I have been buying parts for many years & NEVER had a vendor who admitted sending a defective part call me names & slam the phone in my ear. He was becomeing incensed that I dare (only)suggest sending me the correct half of order & I mail him his part. He could have said NO. That would be sufficient.

                              If it's a cultural issue I don't get it, as I'm a LI'er and I wouldn't give them 1 more dime of business.
