1970 to 1972 iginition shield box supports

In the TM&JG manual, it states that early '71's may use the metal support brackets that still utilize a lower hole/and or welded nut style support of the '70 style for the enclosed ignition shield box style.

My '71 vin 15065, with I20 build code, has a drivers side support with lower hole and welded nut on inside. The passenger side support has lower hole and NO welded nut on inside.

What style do some of you other '71 owners have and what is your build date?

    Warren,

On my July built '71 (L15), serial 21701, both supports have a lower hole with NO welded nut on either inside support.

    Hope this helps.
