After putting in all the lights and wiring to all the things on the back of the cluster, I have one black cable left over with a slip-on connector. It appears to be the cluster ground if I am looking at the wiring diagram correctly, but I can't find where it should go. Is there anyone out there who can help me with this one. Thanks again.
The black ground connector connects to the cluster all the way up at the top near the high beam light, parking brake light, and light switch light.
Should be the first connection if you are working from the top down (at least on a 67 cluster). Hope you have small hands.

I kicked myself twice, once really hard. I'll keep my ignorance going here. Obviously there must supposed to be a male connector up there close to the high beam light, but I don't have anything there. Is this the case? Thanks.
The male connector lug is removable. It mounts to the top, center cover-plate-to-case retaining screws. It might have been omitted when (if) the cluster was reassembled, at some point. It is a simple "L" shape, with one leg having a 1/8" hole for the fastener. Widely available.
-----The ground does not have to be up on the top. It only has to be there to be correct. You could put the ground spade anywhere on the cluster you can reach for now and avoid taking the cluster all the way out. Just a thought. You already may have donr things correctly. If so pay no attention.........Bill S
