    C# 1970 rear noise

Some help is needed in diagnosing a noise. It occurs when this 1970 convertible is driven on the highway and then comes to a complete stop. The noise is a rubbing/grinding sound when intial acceleration starts. It is in the left side rear and doesn't continue past the first or second start. It isn't there at speeds over 1-2 MPH.

The 1/2 shaft universals and drive shaft universals are in great shape. It doesn't occur when only driving around town.

All ideas and fixes would be appreciated.

An E-brake spring may have broken and be rubbing in the drum. I have found this to be a noise you describe.
