hi guys

do all 69 vette have 3877660 thermostat housing ??

and

is it true that 69 thermostat housing are made of cast iron before serial 21000 and aluminum 3877660 after serial 21000 ??

All 1969 Corvette engines except L-88/ZL-1 used the GM #3877660 thermostat housing. I think I can safely say that all 3877660 housings were cast of aluminum and none were manufactured of cast iron. This applies to all years of usage for the 3877660 housing (i.e. 1966-73) and to both PRODUCTION and SERVICE examples.

1969 with L-88/ZL-1 used a cast iron thermostat housing of GM #3827369.
