Tank Sticker Connection?

tank sticker connection bill becker just got the tank sticker in the mail for my newly purchased driver project car soon to follow since this is my first experience with a corvette so new some of it is greek to me i looked in my encyclopedia of restorer articles but must have missed a reference to a corvette order copy my question is two fold how does one connect this torn and tattered piece of paper with a particular car how do i know this one is from my car and does anyone know where zone dealer is thanks bill becker

re tank sticker connection gene manno bill the v i n should match your car's if this part is not readable go down the list of options to see if they match what's on the car see if the date on the sheet falls in with the ncrs build in the manual for your v i n hope this helps ya

re tank sticker connection jack humphrey factory broadcast sheets aka build sheet tank stickers never did tie to a give vin look all you want and you won't find a car's vin listed on the paper there's a reason build sheet was meant to do just that create the car corresponding to a dealer order each option is called out and the document ties to the selling dealership unless an eo or copo order by zone dealer reference the paper created the car catch until actual final assy of the car there was no vin number that's why you don't see a vin id on your tank sticker you will find a three digit job number penciled on the sheet this was a rolling sequence up to the factory used to keep build jobs straight and identify wip the job number is penciled on your car in several places and you'll see it and photograph it as you do a frame off restoration that along with the approximate date of your car and the tank sticker are as strong as you'll ever get to real documentation unless you have original owner paperwork happen to find track recover the original dealership doco or have an export car e g canada where better more complete build data was retained by governing authorities
