This photo is of right rear wheel opening of a 1966 corvette. My question is: The fiberglass body part that is circled in red, is this correct? Is it correct of a side exhaust car, non-side exhaust car, or both models? I seen a few Corvette had this part without that radius in the lower right hand corner of this flap. What is the differance? Thanks

Its on my 67 sidepipe car. Its also on a non sidepipe but possibly without the curved cutout... really haven't payed much attention.- Top

Keen,
------Others will post as well, but its my thought, and I could be wrong, that the radius cut does not have quite the right radius. There is more of a curve to that cut. Also, that cut is usually a bit rougher along the edge, usually being the optimum word!..........Bill S- Top

Ken
According to the AIM the radius is to be cut at 3.5" with 0.5" lip at the inside bottom of the inner fender- Top

Ken,
The straight, inner edge you circled in red is correct for a non side exhaust car. The slight radius on the bottom should be straight also for a non-side exhaust car. Factory side exhaust(or those properly converted) have a larger radius curout on the bottom that removes uite a bit of the inner and bottom edge. There's a good picture of it in the assembly manual and Noland Adam's book, page 296.- Top
